Analytics Consultant

The Analytics Consultant will be responsible for collaborating with clients to make objective customer-focused and data-driven decisions by providing analytical insight, actionable data, and recommendations. Also responsible for projects, providing analytics support, and serving in a consultative capacity to deliver value-added predictive and descriptive analytics solutions to our clients. Typical work includes:

  • Regular client meetings
  • Brainstorming and problem-solving sessions
  • Designing methodology and solutions
  • Hypothesis testing
  • Advanced analysis- Market mix modeling, pricing and promotional measurement, and/or marketing effectiveness
  • Heavy use of visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, R Shiny
  • Integration of technical knowledge with business goals and strategy

As well, the Analytics Consultant should look into sustainability and scalability of solutions.

Expectations: 

  • Solve business problems and develop business solutions. Use problem-solving methodologies to propose creative solutions to business problems. Recommend design and develop state-of-the-art data-driven analysis using statistical & advanced analytics methodologies. Form hypotheses and run experiments to gain empirical insights and validate the hypothesis. Identify and eliminate possible obstacles and propose alternative creative solutions
  • Articulate and persuasive communicator. Commands the room, handles executive and difficult audiences well. Readily adapts style and message appropriately to audiences and circumstances.
  • Project management. Lead the client engagements independently. Execute end-to-end client engagement cycles with minimum supervision, ensuring regular client updates and meetings are in place.
  • Proactive in identifying any potential failures or risks associated with a project, data sources, and/or tracking and execution
  • Client relationship management. Develop and continue to build strong client relationships. , as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Sales support and account growth. Strong focus on opportunities to grow clients along with the senior engagement leaders

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with e-Commerce/Digital/Social media projects; e-Commerce and Digital domain knowledge is required
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL & R/Python and Advanced Analytics/Statistics Techniques such as Bayesian, generalized linear model, boosting algorithms, ANOVA, CART, ensemble techniques, etc
  • Proficiency with Rakuten Intelligence, ARAP, Amazon Vendor Central, Google Analytics, Edge solution or equivalent
  • Proficiency with at least two of the following tools: Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, Shiny R, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to persuade others
  • High learning agility
  • Experience with processing and handling large data sets
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a cross-functional environment

Desirable:

  • Experience with Azure ML and AI
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operational Research, Information Science, Engineering, or Statistics
  • Certification in Analytics courses is preferred
