Suraj drives the AI @scale division at Fractal, focusing on novel and innovative solutions involving AI, and engineering. He leads capabilities globally for research and delivery in the areas of AI, engineering, machine vision, natural language processing, machine learning operations, and cognitive automation.
Suraj comes with extensive experience in the areas of AI and engineering and has incubated several innovative capabilities, delivering value with the use of cutting-edge AI and engineering. He also has the experience of deploying production-grade big data systems at government/secure facilities for Palantir technologies. He further has the experience of building AI systems for cancer research for Celera Genomics, Mayo clinic, Correlogic systems, and others.
Suraj is the author of one of the first patents and publications for cancer detection AI systems and has multiple papers and publications in AI and engineering space.
He has a keen interest in building next-generation AI systems that scale for real-world impact. He completed his BE in computer science from the University of Pune, MS in computer science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
