The client had an ambitious roadmap of hundreds of AI projects planned over the next 2-3 years, but its central AI team consisted of only few hundred professionals.
While the client had a pool of over tens of thousands of software developers with strong coding capabilities, these teams lacked the AI expertise required to contribute to AI delivery. This created a critical capability bottleneck.
